Spectacularly monumental

Let's start with Rome, the capital and also home to the Vatican. The city boasts endless architectural wonders which will take you back in time to the great Roman Empire, such as the Colosseum or the Pantheon. As will Pompeii, the ancient Roman city that remained buried under lava for centuries. The beautiful city of Florence houses the most famous sculpture in the world, Michelangelo's David. If you head north, you have to try a gondola ride in Venice on the canals that wind their way through its stunning old town. Milan is the capital of fashion and very near to Lake Como, equally beautiful as the medieval towns, vineyards and sunflowers in the region of Tuscany. Much louder and chaotic is Naples. But fantastic if you like pasta and pizza!
