Let's start with Rome, the capital and also home to the Vatican. If you head north, you have to try a gondola ride in Venice on the canals that wind their way through its stunning old town. Milan is the capital of fashion and very near to Lake Como, equally beautiful as the medieval towns, vineyards and sunflowers in the region of Tuscany. Much louder and chaotic is Naples. But fantastic if you like pasta and pizza!
