FULL ITINERARY

DAY 1 – Arrive ISTANBUL, TURKEY

Upon arrival at Istanbul airport, you are met by your representative and transferred to your 5-star hotel. Check-in time is 2 pm. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 2 –ISTANBUL OLD CITY

After breakfast, we will begin our tour of the Sultanahmet district, the heart of old Istanbul at Hagai Sophia. This church was built by Justinian in the 6th century and is one of the marvels of the world’s architecture with its massive domes, which dominate the skyline of old Istanbul.

Next, we visit the Blue Mosque, which owes its name to the exquisite mosaics and tile interior. Let’s not forget to see and enjoy the Hippodrome, the stadium of ancient Byzantium, which held 100,000 spectators from all corners of the Empire.

Then get lost in time as you wander through the Grand Bazaar, which is the cultural heart of the old city, with its 4,000 shops full of beautiful treasures not to mention beautiful handwoven carpets, Kilims, silks, jewelry, ceramic icons, and beautiful leather handbags and shoes.

DAY 3 – ISTANBUL, BOSPHORUS, & TASKIM SQUARE

After breakfast, our tour will start at the Spice Bazaar, then on to the Bosphorus Cruise to the Taksim Square where we’ll walk through the Istikal Caddesi pedestrian walkway in the Beyoglu district the center of Istanbul’s art scene. Followed by the Hagia Triada Greek Orthodox Church, the French Consulate, and the Galatasaray High School dating back to the Ottoman period. We then finally visit the Cicek Pasaji (de Las Flores), the flower passage where we’ll find lively music, shops, bars, and upscale restaurants to dine. Finally, to end the day, we visit the Sultan Abdul Hamid residence overlooking the Bosphorus.

DAY 4 – ISTANBUL / NORTH CAPPADOCIA.

We will depart (at the indicated time) on a domestic flight to Cappadocia. Upon arrival, we will check into the local hotel. Free day of rest.

DAY 5 – NORTHERN CAPPADOCIA

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Goreme Open-Air Museum, a must-see site in Cappadocia, a splendid cluster of monastic Byzantine artistry with rock-cut churches, chapels, and monasteries.

Then on to The Uchisar Castle — a small but beautiful town, it’s one of the best viewpoints in Cappadocia to see the sunset. Also, we’ll have the opportunity to learn and understand the precious history behind handcrafted carpets, Turkish tiles, onyx, and pottery. Finally, visit the sites of the Pasabag Valley, another must-see destination, boasting mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys nestled in the heart of Monks Valley an incredible natural wonder.

DAY 6 – SOUTHERN CAPPADOCIA

In the early hours of the morning, experience Cappadocia from the sky, seeing the beauty of the region, rock formations, fairy chimneys, and Luna landscapes. After breakfast, enjoy a full day where we’ll continue to explore Kizilcukur Valley where you’ll be offered freshly grown grapes, apples, or apricots grown locally. Then on to Cavusin to see one of the oldest churches and on to the underground city in the largest and deepest area in the city.

DAY 7 – FULL DAY BURSA TOUR

After breakfast, we’ll travel to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire, one of the greatest treasures of Islamic architecture. Then visit the Green Mosque with its neighboring Green Mausoleum renowned for its tile adornment. Not to mention the Great Mosque and the Koza Han, a historic caravanserai that for centuries was the center of the silk trade.

As a final farewell to the amazing country, enjoy a cable car ride up the slopes of Mount Olympus.

DAY 8 - FLY TO CAIRO, EGYPT.

Arrive at Cairo International Airport; we’ll be greeted and assisted with visas and customs formalities, then transfer to the hotel. Check-in time is 2 pm. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

DAY 9 – GREAT PYRAMIDS. THE SPHINX

After breakfast, our private Egyptologist will drive us to Giza to visit the Pyramids, see the Great Pyramids, and visit the royal burial chamber. Then on to visit the Sphinx, which needs no introduction. Our journey continues to Memphis, the capital of the Pharaohs. We'll see during the reign of Pharaoh Menes founder of the first of the thirteen dynasties that would rule the kingdom for the next two and a half thousand years.

½ hour camel ride, then on to visit the recumbent statue of Ramses II and the 80-ton alabaster Sphinx, then continue on to Saqqara, the largest archaeological site in Egypt, which contains numerous pyramids, including the Step Pyramid of Djoser, sometimes referred to as the Step Tomb and a number of mastaba tombs.

DAY 10 – EGYPTIAN MUSEUM, THE OLD CITADEL & OLD CAIRO

After breakfast with our Egyptologist, we’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, and see the magnificent collection of Antiquities (or the Grand Egyptian Museum, upon its opening) to view its huge collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts especially the golden treasures of TUT ANKH AMUN.

Late afternoon fly to Luxor

DAY 11 – 3 NIGHTS / 4 DAYS NILE CRUISE

Embark upon our Nile Cruise. First stop, visit the Horus Temple of Edfu, one of the most beautiful temples of the Ptolemaic period. Then on to the Sobek Temple dedicated to the two gods, which offers beautiful murals and reliefs. Next to Aswan to see the unfinished Obelisk, the world-famous High Dam, and The Philae Temple, which is devoted to the goddess Isis and Hathor.

DAY 12- SAIL TO KOM OMBO & EDFU & DAY 13 – LUXOR EAST & LUXOR WEST BANK

Continue sailing to Kom Ombo Temple then to visit the Edfu Temple, then on to Esna.

We will cross Esna at sunrise to enjoy a wonderful tour of the East Bank of the Nile, the Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple, followed by a visit to the West Bank to the Valley of The Kings, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon followed by some free downtime to get in some shopping.

DAY 14 – CRUISE ENDS LATE MORNING IN ASWAN

After breakfast, we’ll fly from Aswan Airport back to Cairo for our final departure home.
